Raymond is a Senior Member and Managing Partner of
our firm and is the past Chair of our litigation
group.
He engages in a broad range of advocacy
matters including trials, appeals, arbitrations,
mediation and other forms of alternative dispute
resolution. Raymond has litigated at all levels of
Courts including the Supreme Court of Canada and
makes regular appearances on the Commercial List
in Toronto.
Raymond is involved in all facets of
insolvency litigation including commercial
reorganizations and restructurings under the
Companies Creditors’ Arrangement Act, Bankruptcy
and Insolvency Act and other related
legislation. He acts on behalf of companies,
creditors, financial institutions, receivers,
trustees and monitors in these proceedings and
security enforcement matters.
He also
conducts litigation arising out of construction
and real estate projects, shareholder disputes
and related claims for developers, owners,
landlords, tenants, joint ventures, contractors
and suppliers.
Raymond graduated from Boston
University, magna cum laude, then
received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
