Michael is a partner in our Commercial Leasing Group. His practice focuses primarily on commercial leasing transactions, including drafting and negotiating retail, office and industrial leases and ancillary documentation for both landlords and tenants. Michael also acts for individuals and corporations on real estate transactions and various commercial matters.

Michael is an active member of the ICSC and is the co-chair for the 2009 ICSC Canadian Law Conference. Michael has participated as a member of the Program Planning Committee for the annual ICSC Canadian Law Conference in Toronto, Ontario, as well as a moderator, panellist and co-chair of the breakfast roundtables. Michael has participated as a panellist in Osgoode Hall Law School’s continuing legal education seminar “Negotiating and Drafting the Commercial Lease”, Lorman’s “Basic Commercial Leases” and seminars presented by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. Michael has presented papers on topics including, “Restaurant Leases: Special Clauses and Issues”, “Kick-Out Clauses” and “Food Courts – Special Lease and Operational Provisions” at the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Six-Minute Commercial Leasing Lawyer program.
